I Tried to Count Every Abandoned House in Shinjuku

If you think Tokyo is too crowded to have abandoned homes…

Think again.

In this video, I went for a one-hour run through Shinjuku to see just how many empty houses I could spot.

Tokyo has over 647,000 vacant homes, the highest number in history.

And even here in Shinjuku, one of the busiest places in the world, there are still nearly 28,000 abandoned houses.

It’s hard to believe until you see it with your own eyes.
