What can a Japanese abandoned house turn into?

After months of planning and renovation, my Akiya in Hiyoshi, Yokohama is finally complete and it looks better than I expected.

The new colors really brought the place to life. What once felt empty and forgotten now feels warm, vibrant, and full of character.

But that’s not the only exciting part.

There’s a little surprise tied to this project… something that even caught me off guard.
